About Us

Woolhampton 2 is a Christian activity holiday for teenagers, aged 11-14. The weeks holiday (or 'Venture') is based in Elstree school in Woolhampton, near Reading during the start of summer holidays.

This Pathfinder Venture is overseen by the Church Pastoral Aid Society (CPAS) and run by an invited team of leaders and helpers (called 'Bereans' see Acts 17: 11-12). Our aim is to bring teenagers (or 'members') to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and to build up young Christians in their faith. To this end, we have a programme of morning bible studies and evening meetings where, by teaching the Bible, we aim for the members to hear a clear and relevant explanation of the gospel. Small group discussions, and more informal chats during what is also a holiday packed with lots of different games and activities, mean that the members can talk through the things they've heard with their leaders.

Over the years, God has used Ventures like this to bring many young people to faith in Christ - they can also be a lifeline for young Christians who get little teaching during the rest of the year.

Why Ventures?

Learn and grow in small groups
Chat about how the promises, challenges and questions in the Bible can apply to your life, with the help of our amazing volunteer leaders.
Connect with other young people
Ventures help children and young people develop long-lasting, life-enhancing friendships by sharing, learning and growing in their time away together.
Explore life with Jesus
For more than 50 years Ventures have been giving young people the opportunity to look into who Jesus is, and many have chosen to join the millions of Christians all over the world who follow him today.
